One of Nevada's Two Largest Workers' Comp Carriers Honors
Four Participating Companies for Special Safety Initiatives

Las Vegas - June 29, 2006: Builders Insurance Company - one of Nevada's two largest workers comp insurance providers, and Nevada's largest construction industry workers comp provider, announced four 2006 Safety Achievement Awards to participating companies that have excelled at on-the-job worker safety programs at their just-completed Appreciation Luncheon for insureds. More than 1,100 area construction industry contractors and sub-contractors are represented by Builders Insurance Company, according to President Wayne Harris, and each year Builders Insurance singles out four of those companies for special safe-workplace recognition.

Builders Insurance provides workers' comp coverage - as well as comprehensive safety and fraud-reduction measures - to help participating companies reduce on-the-job injuries and reduce workers' comp claims, and costs. This reduction in claims - and costs - have been attributed to the less severe nature of the on-the-job injuries which occurred in the past year, due largely to Builders Insurance's aggressive on-the-job safety training program, as well as to the initiatives of participating construction companies, Harris explained.
